A Real Beast

The latest Bioshock Infinete trailer just hit the web and it is freakin’ awesome. First and foremost, Bioshock 2 was a direct sequel to the original but was not developed by the team that made the original. Infinite however, is being made by a lot of the core team behind the original Bioshock. Most important it is being written and supervised by ken Levine, the man behind the original.

Aside from being a really snappy trailer it actually has a lot jammed into it. First off the opening shot on the boat is actually a connection to the original Bioshock which has some very interesting story implications. What’s really cool about this trailer is the use of “Beast” by Nico Vega which has a very distinct kind of critique of America. The game itself takes place in 1912 in the fictional city of Columbia which floats in the sky and is currently locked in a civil war between the Vox Populi and The Founders.
